Looking for ideas to enjoy the last days of summer with your significant other? First, make sure you didn’t miss Part I of this series. Then, read on to get more fun and easy date night ideas.
Get a couple’s massage
What better way to end a hectic work week than enjoying a couple’s massage with your honey?
Venture to a Local Bed & Breakfast
Don’t have the time or money to go on a vacation? Add a twist to the staycation idea and go to a bed & breakfast in your own area. Before making a reservation, be sure to check out sites like Groupon and Living Social to find the best deals.
Take a Cooking Class
Want to learn how to make a certain dish or up your cooking skills? Either way, this is a great opportunity to bond with your date or significant other.
Head to your local dance studio and learn some new moves. Whether it’s Salsa, Foxtrot, Tango or Hip Hop, a dance class is a great way to get close or flirt with your date. Plus, dancing is just fun!
Can’t see yourself in a dance studio? Grab your laptop and your date, and search for dance instruction videos on YouTube.
Go to an Amusement Park
Nothing says summer like a trip to your local amusement park. Waiting in line for the latest roller coaster, snapping pics throughout the day and spending time in the waterpark are just some of the fun activities that await you at an amusement park. Some parks even offer discount tickets if you get there later in the evening.
One of my favorite summer activities is going to a baseball game. It gives me an excuse to go to watch baseball, have a cold brew (or two) and enjoy the great outdoors. Go to mlb.com to find a game near you.
Float Away with Me
Rent a boat or a kayak and float your troubles away on the nearest river or lake. Try booking your rental earlier in the morning or during the week if you want to be alone.
Head to your nearest bowling alley to test out your bowling skills. Want to make it more interesting? Get a few friends to join the fun and make it a friendly competition.
Don’t let summer pass by without a trip to the beach or your local pool. Enjoy the rays with your date, but make sure you put on sunscreen (better yet, have them do it for you!) before lying in the sun.
Enjoy the Trails
Get your heart racing with a bike ride or hike around the city or the countryside. Search Trails.com or your state’s Department of Natural Resouces to find nearby paths or locations for your hike or bike ride.
